A friend has a genuine Getrag dog-leg 2002 close ratio. It is an original 2002 Porsche synchro type with external slave cylinder. Not the later E21 type.
It is quite special as it is brand new & unused.
He will be expecting a very good price for it though.

Drop me (richstern@hotmail.com) an email if seriously interested and I'll pass on your details.

A very presentable, reliable and completely rust-free example of this performance classic with recently uprated suspension, including new bushes, slightly lower and stiffer springs and Bilstein sport gas dampers all round. (I still have the standard springs and old soft dampers).

An ex-UK, matching-numbers car (I still have the old UK reg plates), it was subject of a high quality, full nut-and-bolt restoration in 1996 by BMW specialists ETA Motorsport (Kent, England), which included new doors, boot floor, front panel, bonnet and boot.

Very well looked-after since, with lots of notes, receipts and invoices for new parts and work done, including for the 1996 resto. Recently fitted with two new front wings, but how it looks today is a testament to the quality of the work then.

Parts replaced include new distributor, timing chain, alternator, radiator, water pump, clutch kit, brake and clutch master cylinders, and front brake discs and hoses. Shod with four very fresh Pirelli P3000 tyres.

Mechanically, the car is in excellent health: engine starts easily and pulls well; gearshift is good and tight, and the brakes (braided hoses) pull the car up strongly and straight.

Features Lumenition electronic ignition and a Kenlowe electric fan.

A very reliable, dependable car that has never let me down over the past seven years and about 27,000 miles.

Interior and seats are in good order (the front seat cushions and backs were rebolstered in 2006) but the driver's seat cushion fabric is torn and worn out - but I have original replacement fabric from Jaymic to fix it.

Enthusiast-owned, and featured in Total BMW mag April 2009.

Pics on my picasa web album at the URL below:

https://picasaweb.google.com/105968185409951082844/BMW2002Tii02

I’m based in north Co.
